Mini Power Pack
This modular mini power unit forms the basis for a wide range of mobile and industrial mini hydraulic systems. They fit into our range between our micro and standard units for applications requiring up to 5.5 kW. They are a flexible small hydraulic power pack unit for AC or DC single and double-acting applications to 30 litres/minute, with tank capacities between 1 and 55 litres and pressure to 250 bar.

At the centre of these small hydraulic power packs is a high quality aluminium casting that joins the gear pump to the drive motor. The gear pump flow is delivered to a check valve, relief valve and a flexible range of directional control valves.

To drive the pumps we offer DC motors from 500W to 3kW, in 12V and 24VDC. Standard IEC frame AC motors from 0.37 to 5.5kW.

Pump sizes range from 0.25cc to 9.8cc/rev with tandem and cast iron pumps are options.

Tanks from 1 Litre to 55Litre are available, 1.5, 3, 5 and 8Litre in thermo-plastic.

Eudoxus - 3D Vision - Cognitive Vision

 

EUDOXUS

Eudoxus is a 3D vision sensor integrating the ASUS® Xtion PRO LIVE RGB and Depth Sensor with a Gumstix® OveroSTORM COM embedded Linux system. It is capable of streaming depth and RGB data in real time to either a file or live video viewer on a host machine over Wifi or Ethernet. Eudoxus is a stand-alone 3D vision sensor for mobile mapping applications.

Eudoxus’ name is derived from the Greek navigator Eudoxus of Cyzicus, who was a pioneer of navigation and exploration in 130 BCE.

APPLICATIONS

Eudoxus' software and data sets are based around open interfaces, standards, and formats, which makes it an ideal sensor for developing 3D vision sensing applications. Because the platform can stream RGB images, depth, and audio data, it can be used to develop other multimedia applications as well. Eudoxus V0.7 is a research platform and is currently available only to researchers, developers, and academic institutions at limited quantities. Release V1.0, coming in 2013Q1, will be available for general release.

As the number of Stanford online courses has grown, so too has the range of fields, which now include computer science, mathematics, linguistics, science writing, sociology and education.
Stanford is unique among universities in that it is offering its online courses on more than one platform. Each has its own distinct features and capabilities, among them video lectures, discussion forums, peer assessment, problem sets, quizzes and team projects.
An open-source platform called Class2Go, developed by a team of Stanford engineers, will host An Introduction to Computer Networks, taught by Nick McKeown – an entrepreneur and a professor of electrical engineering and of computer science, whose networking startup, Nicira, was just acquired by VMware – and his colleague Philip Levis. If you really want students to wrap their mind around the concept of what falling objects do and aren't "clinging" to the insistence of obtaining the absolute precision of 9.81 m/s² in lab, then the g Ball is exactly what you're looking for. A favorite experiments with the g Ball is to show students that g is the same for any dropped height. Drop the g Ball from 3 meters, 2 meters, 1 meter, and from 50cm in height... and using d=1/2 at 2 with the measured time, will result in a ~10m/s² every time! The ball has a timer that is startetd manually with a push of a button at the instant it is released or thrown. When the ball strikes a surface, the timing stops and the time of flight is recorded. The cool thing about using the g Ball is that it can be used anywhere; outdoors to measure the height of the flagpole, the speed of a student pitch in the hallway, in the conventional lab setting, without the need for computers, expensive data collectors or complicated devices.
