Memorise faster

Technique 1
1. Read 10 –15 lines paragraph.
2 . Read five times
3. Read in rhyming patter
4. Go to next paragraph in same way.
5. THis method increase memorizing power. but lack in understanding of what we read.
6. Because of increased memory power, students may tend to take this shortcut to take exams.
Technique 2
1. Select a 10 – 15 lines paragraph.
2. read the selected paragraph 2 – 3 times.
3. Relax for 1 minute. now in a note pad recollect the words.

Teach Your self Numerical analysis using Scilab & Scilab Tutorials

FUNDAMENTALS OF ENGINEERING NUMERICAL ANALYSIS WITH SCILAB

The Openeering team has translated from MATLAB® to Scilab all of the examples presented into the Professor Parviz Moin’s renowned book “Fundamentals of Engineering Numerical Analysis”.

“Fundamentals of Engineering Numerical Analysis” introduces students to numerical methods through theory and exercises.

All the students are now free to learn about engineering numerical analysis following the entire book without paying for a commercial software license: download the Scilab examples from the following links:

The structure of the Scilab code closely mimics the scheme of the original examples available at the Stanford University website at the following link: http://numerics.stanford.edu/ , with more than 30 exercises organized into six chapters.

Create a Graphical User Interface (GUI) with Scilab

In this tutorial we show how to create a Graphical User Interface (GUI) in Scilab for an ODE problem. The adopted problem is the LHY model already used in other tutorials.

Free OpenCV Books

This document was created as part of a final project for a BSc degree at the Academic College of TelAviv Yaffo, by Rachely Esman and Yoad Snapir, under the supervision of Tal Hassner.
As part of the project, we used Intel's OpenCV library, calling its functions from MATLAB. We found
the subject tricky and thus decided to share the experience of our work with others describing the
common pitfalls.

Collection and a development kit of matlab mex functions for OpenCV library

This software package provides matlab mex functions that interface a hundred of OpenCV APIs. Also the package contains a C++ class that converts between Matlab's native data types and OpenCV data types. The package is suitable for fast prototyping of OpenCV application in Matlab, use of OpenCV as an external toolbox in Matlab, and the development of a custom mex function.

Note: The OpenCV developers are planning to implement Matlab wrappers as of February 2013. While the mexopencv will be kept as a private project, let's wait to see how the official wrappers come out.

Non Contact Displacement Sensor

955 eBrik

Overview

The 955 eBrik™ is an accurate, programmable zero and span, auto-tuning, non-contact linear position sensor in an economical, low-profile package. The sensor utilizes our field-proven Magnetostrictive technology to provide absolute position, repeatable to .001% of the sensing distance. The 955 eBrik™ is a cost effective linear sensing solution.

The streamlined anodized aluminum extrusion houses the sensing element and electronics. The magnet moves over the sensing element that determines the position and converts it to a readable output. The 955 eBrik™ is a self-contained unit and does not have a “can” or head assembly. All of the electronics are incorporated in the transducer, which is less than one inch tall.

Specifications

Input Voltage
  24 VDC +/- 20%
Current Draw
  1.1w (44 mA typical)
Output
  0 to 10 VDC
  10 to 0 VDC
  4 to 20 mA
  20 to 4 mA
